through the glass

my desk is too high for me to comfortably put my mouse on it, and the mouse tray broke, so i have it on a sketchbook that rests on the top drawer. from time to time I'll scribble things on it; little sketches, writings, et c., but it also has a habit of collecting stuff. the thing in the foreground is a little tool with two arms and a magnifying glass used for soldering electronics, in the back is a bunch of calligraphy pens, and on the open page of the sketch book is a bunch of writing done with said pens.

lots of layer effects went into this, had to copy the image into several different layers. The camera has problems focussing up close.
